Artisanal bake-at-home cookies. Delivered weekly.
Chemist, turned diplomat, turned spy, turned baker.
I first began baking, like many, at my mother’s side. Today, I constantly experiment with new ingredients and flavors. I can’t wait for you to taste what I’ve come up with!
FAQs
How do I get the cookies?
Each Sunday evening the weekly flavor is posted and you simply place an order via the order form on this site. Include the full delivery address and contact information for you (and the recipient if you are buying them for someone else). The cookies will be delivered to the address you specified on the following Friday between 930am-7pm. If you are buying them for someone else it’s a good idea to give them a heads up so they know to expect them. They are FROZEN and should be PUT INTO A FREEZER as soon as possible until you are ready to bake!
How do I pay?
For now, and until I activate the E-commerce capability on this site, you can pay via any of four popular and easy contactless payment apps. Venmo, PayPal, CashApp and Zelle, as listed in the order form. Simply open your preferred app and send payment accordingly. Payment may be made at the time of ordering or after delivery, whichever you prefer.
When do you deliver?
Delivery is on Friday of each week between 930am-7pm. As my delivery route can change each week it is difficult for me to predict an exact time for your individual delivery. If there is a window which will not work for you, note it on the order form and I will do my best to accommodate. If I cannot, an insulated bag/cooler and a few ice packs left at your door will suffice to keep the cookies cool for a few hours. Check my IG story on delivery day; I try to post the delivery route!
What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?
As I only make one flavor per week, at this time I cannot accommodate special requests or modifications. If any cookie contains nuts or common allergens it will be explicitly included in the title of the cookie and mentioned in the description. I do not use nut-based products for example without saying so. All of my cookies contain raw eggs and (real) butter. Those are the only animal products used in my cookies and the butter is the only dairy product, with a few exceptions which contain cream cheese, but that will be explicitly stated if used.
How long will the cookies keep in the freezer?
If you maintain self-control and somehow allow the cookies to remain frozen and unbaked, they will last for weeks if not months. Flavors will deteriorate slightly over time, but they go from super delicious to just plain delicious.
Do I live within your delivery zone?
If you live within one of the zip codes listed in the order form, yes! If you are not listed, place the order and I will confirm with you before Friday deliveries if I can or cannot include you. If you have a friend who is within “the zone” willing to receive the cookies on your behalf and you can collect them later, that’s is another option. The more you order the easier it is for me to make the trip!

The Spy Who Loved to Bake
I think most bakers can remember the few items that sparked their curiosity and then passion to bake and for me it was two items that did it. The first was a perfectly presented slice of rich, crumbly, buttery Linzer torte from my German grandmother. For this picky pre-teen, the sophisticated combination of ground nuts, spices, and raspberry jam was an earth shaker. It is a recipe I have attempted to recreate repeatedly and it eludes me still. The second emblematic baking memory was a misshapen and, therefore, obviously handmade, loaf of Anadama bread that I made with my mother sometime about the age of 13. She is sure it was a Cuban style loaf not Anadama but the truth may be lost to history! To create a real loaf of bread from only flour, water, salt, sugar, and yeast was a miracle that continues to amaze me every time a loaf emerges from the oven.
I haven’t always been in the kitchen, however. After college, having studied biochemistry and chemistry, I knew I’d rather do something else professionally, serving my fellow man. At first I joined the Foreign Service at the US Department of State and then, thereafter, for more than a decade I was an Operations Officer for the Central Intelligence Agency, living here at home and overseas, supporting our government’s national security priorities. My science background meant I spent my days and often late nights trying to explore, understand and, in most cases, thwart, the nuclear, biological and chemical weapon aspirations of our enemies. It wasn't always easy and rarely like the movies, but it kept me busy.
Although rewarding at many times, my job wasn’t making me happy and even after the longest and most trying days, I always found I had time and energy to bake. It was my refuge from a frustrating, difficult, and stressful world.
So here I am, doing what I love for people who appreciate the same things I do: flavor, texture, connection, recollection, surprise, and familiarity. My baking is an opportunity to forge relationships with people and time, to be a part of new memories and new experiences; to remind us all of what brings us joy, contentment and genuine human connection. Take a look, have a think, and then let me know if these chef inspired bake-at-home cookies are calling your name!
